As I was cruising through my pictures, I realized that I had a few photos of myself in Korea that have never been posted to be viewed by the blogging world. Funnily enough, these pictures have been taken by two of my tightest peeps here in Korea: Mark and Phil. Now, Mark is really professional about it all – spending thousands of dollars on photo equipment – and it shows – his pictures are always inspiring. Phil, on the other hand, has a camera similar to mine – but seems to be in the right place at the right time.
Regardless, I thought I’d throw a few up so you have a closer (much) perspective on my life here. There have been heaps of good memories with Mark and Phil – I will surely not forget them. In fact, I have been creating memories even this week. Last Sunday, Phil successfully completed running a 10 kilometer race. This was a big achievement as he’d never run anything like this in his life. I think it’s safe to say that both Mark and I were proud of him. After finishing, Phil is already talking about doing another. You know what? I’m seriously considering it too. I’m ready to run. GAME!

So then, we celebrated on Monday night. And again on Wednesday. Both nights were low-key but joyous enough. Now that Phil has concluded his first 10 K, he is free to stay out late and party. This can only mean the weekend should be fun. In reality, there is no excuse to stay home this weekend – as it’s Halloween! I hope to have some fun. Today we kicked off the Halloween festivities at JLS – and it was great. I found a fantastic costume (thanks to other Korean teachers) and so the kids have been very receptive! The only problem is that the students are a little more bloodthirsty than usual – demanding candy at every instance. It’s tiring.
I took a bunch of amusing pictures today – and I’m sure there’ll be more to follow tomorrow. You’re gonna have to wait for now – but they’ll be up here in no time.
Happy Halloween!
-Paul
