Black is Beautiful

Hello! I am happy to report that I have become one step closer to being the coolest person ever. Yesterday, I got the new Motorola RAZR - in black! That brings my collection of cool electronic devices in black to two! (The first being my ipod). This phone is supremely cool, on so many levels...it is very comfortable to talk with, the screen is massive, and how it fits in your pocket is simply incredible. I'm sure I could rant about this phone for some time, but I just wanted to wet your appetites of my amazingness. Or the phones' amazingness... After all, all cool things embody me...right?

Yeah, I have been super happy with my ipod as well. I mean, how cool is it to have your entire CD library with you at all times? Simply awesome, that's what. Considering how much time I've spent on buses and trains these past few weeks, I feel this to be a very wise purchase indeed. The design of the ipod isn't exactly shabby either, eh? You know my coolness meter hits the roof when I flash this around...

Well, after a significant amount of self-aggrandizing, I think it's time to move on. I've finished my second week of teaching and it feels good. There's a definite sense of accomplishment knowing that I am living and working in a foreign country. It's special, no doubt. For the most part, I am still in awe of everything here. Although I will have to say that the constant push of people on the subway gets tiring. Maybe it's more frustrating because I'm spending so long on the trains as well... Regardless, I'm having fun here. Last night, Hyejung and I went to Dongdaemun market and looked around. Or maybe more accurately, HJ and I went to Dondaemun market and I followed her around. In all fairness, it was kinda fun as there was so much energy there - tons of people, tons of things to look at, tons of interesting smells...it felt completely foreign to me and I loved it. One huge difference there was the concept of personal space or space in general - there really wasn't much of it! Just so different than North America...

Next week will bring some new challenges as I will be taking on more classes, but I feel much more ready for them now than I did two weeks ago. It will mean longer days, but I shouldn't really complain, because these past two weeks I have certainly not been working my full 30 hours.

HJ and I watched the Germany/Argentina game last night (till 3 am) and I thought it was quite an excpetional game. Obviously, a penalty shootout is a horrible way to end any game, but it definitely spices things up! I do have to admit that Germany looked like the better team. It would have been nice to see Argentina go through as their playing style just screams excitement, but the Germans have seemed to impress so far...

Okay, I'll leave you with a photo of HJ and I...much love!

Keep it real...
