Movin' On.
So, this was my last week teaching at Mokdong. You know, it was actually kinda sad. I've really loved getting to know these kids. It has taken a bit for both me and the students to feel comfortable, being a new school and all, but these past two weeks especially have been tons of fun. I always try to leave a few minutes at the end of each class to play a game, resulting in great heaps of fun. This week, with one of my classes we were learning about money, and so I played the Price is Right! It was totally special! Really an incredible community builder...haha..
Okay, so, like I said, there is always so much hilarity with kids, but I'll tell you two little stories. The first, was really short and sweet. As the students were settling in and I was taking attendance, this one student, Johnson (who is kinda my favourite) got out of his chair to show me something. He said "Teacher, Teacher....it's a dance party!", and proceeded to flail around beautifully! I just had to laugh so much...
The second little story came from the vocabulary word country. On their worksheet, the question was Russia is the biggest _________ in the world. Once they figured out that Russia was the biggest country, I asked them, "Do you know which country is the second biggest in the world?" Most students said "China"! Then, after a bit, someone said Canada! Of course I proceeded to brag about just how large Canada is... Following that though, this one student looked at me stubbornly and shouted out, "Korea is good too!" Again, I had to laugh, and I agreed that Korea was a great country too... It was just so awesome to see how these kids would stick up for their country!
There's a few stories to wet your appetite. We'll see what I can do later... For now though, check out these crazy kids! They are great, there's no denying...

Peace!
